Event news from BPA

The Bedales Parents’ Association has been working with the Bedales Schools Development Trust to organise a fundraising event, the Bedales 3 Schools’ Summer Party, to take place on Friday 29 June 2012 at 7.30pm. The event will enable the school to start building work this summer on the Sports Pavilion in memory of Sam Banks and to raise money for bursaries offered by the Sam Banks Memorial Fund to students in Bangladesh. At this stage you are encouraged to hold the date – read more. Also, the Bedales Parents’ Literary Review continues to thrive, meeting twice a term to discuss different classic works of literature. The next meeting will be on Monday 5 March, at 8.45am in the Dunhurst Dining Room, and the group will be reading and discussing Edith Wharton’s The House of Mirth in recognition of her 150th birthday this year. Do come along and join in. Copies of the book are available from One Tree Books.
