For sale – wing of original Bedales School house

A wing of the property that was once rented by J H Badley, where he first opened Bedales School in January 1893, and from where the school’s name originates, is currently for sale. Situated in a pretty semi-rural location in Lindfield, near Haywards Heath and believed to have been built in the 1840s, South Bedales is an impressive sandstone house with a Horsham stone roof, handsome gables and clematis clad elevations. The property has a number of the school’s original features such as the original school common room and a small part-glazed room which is believed to have been used for marking students’ prep.
