Head of Geography raises £1,000 for charity

Head of Geography, Kirsty Layton, has completed a skydive to raise money and awareness for Depression Alliance, a national group relying entirely on donations, helping them support the people affected by depression. Kirsty explains: “As the sign in my house says, ‘life begins at the edge of your comfort zone’. Yes, but why jump out of a plane? Exhilaration, free fall, life – that’s why! True acts of kindness meant that we raised over £1,000. When asked how I felt about the jump, it was this: absolute trust, absolute hope, complete undeniable fear and knowing someone is there to take the lines when the time comes. Beyond that? Phenomenal. Amazing. Supportive. Passionate – my supporters that is!”
