Huge thank you from BPA

By Catherine Bryan, Chair of the Bedales Parents’ Association

We were delighted to see so many people at the Bedales 3 schools’ Summer Fundraiser which raised an overall total of £42,000 for the Sam Banks Pavilion and Sam Banks Memorial Fund. The combination of great entertainment by Bedales students, some very moving personal recollections of Sam, and a clear desire from guests to have fun and throw their support behind the event produced a special atmosphere and an amazing result from the live auction – fierce bidding throughout culminated in a total of £24,700. Thank you to all involved for their support, help and generous donations. We look forward to celebrating the completion of the Sam Banks Pavilion (building work starts over the holiday) next year and hearing about the students who have benefited from bursaries provided by the Sam Banks Memorial Fund.
